The park’s focal point is the spectacular 1.5K long and 100M high Mazinaw rock along the Mazinaw Lake, a must visit for sightseers. Interpretive boat tours are organized to show the red ochre images painted by the early Native people along the base of the sheer granite cliff. Beneath the cliff itself, the lake’s depth reaches 145M making it the second deepest lake in Ontario besides the great lakes.
Another fascinating cultural aspect of the park is immortalized in the Old Walt inscription. Lines from one of the Walt Whiteman’s poems are chiseled in foot high letters on the cliff face.
